This whole journey started in a place you'd least expect a food business to begin: a diagnostic lab.
For years, I worked in the diagnostic field, spending my days around reports, samples, and strict protocols of cleanliness and precision. It taught me something I didn’t realise would shape my future — the value of hygiene, discipline, and getting things exactly right. But at the end of every long day, what brought me real peace was something completely different: my kitchen.
Cooking is my joy, my way of showing love. I’d spend my evenings and weekends experimenting with recipes for my own family, trying to make everyday meals a little healthier, a little tastier, without losing that comforting “home” flavour we all grew up with. Friends and relatives who tasted my cooking kept telling me the same thing — “you should sell this.”
I also got the chance to be part of a small workshop in a rural area school, where I taught a group of young girls how to bake cakes — completely free of cost. Watching their eyes light up the first time their cake came out of the oven, watching them realise they had a skill in their hands that could one day support them — that changed something in me. It reminded me that food isn’t just about taste. It’s about care, confidence, and connection.
That experience gave me the final push. I started small — a few orders from neighbours and people in my own locality who wanted homely, honest food without any shortcuts. Word spread. Orders grew. What began on my kitchen counter slowly turned into a proper little snacks corner, and from there, into Aaple Khaughar as you see it today — now reaching you through this very website.
Every dish we make still carries the same values I started with — the hygiene I learned professionally, the taste I perfected at home, and the honesty I promised myself I’d never compromise on. Whether it’s a festive treat or a simple evening snack, when you order from XYZ, you’re not just getting food. You’re getting a little piece of my kitchen, made the way I’d make it for my own family.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. I hope every bite feels like home.
